The story.

Mestiza Kitchen is family-owned and operated by Corky, Beth, AJ & Leia who all are Ventura County natives. Mestiza Kitchen was first started by Leia in 2014 after moving to Nashville, TN. She immediately noticed the lack of Filipino food in the area & operated there mainly doing events & catering.
In late 2017, the family decided to open up shop together in Ventura. The beautiful Southern California coast is home to them, so it only seemed natural.

Why "mestiza kitchen?"

In the Philippine culture, “mestiza” or “mestizo” is a person of mixed native and foreign descent. Leia’s mother, Beth,  is Filipina and her dad, Corky, is American. She was raised to be proud of her mixed heritage, which shows in her uniquely delicious creations.
